Reasons, not just numbers
A score on its own teaches nobody anything. Every candidate ranking comes with a per-requirement breakdown, what they meet, what they miss, what they're stretching. The recruiter and hiring manager see the same picture.
Every recruiter we know spends their best hours on the dullest part of the job: reading every resume the same way, scoring it consistently, and explaining the call. So we built a tool that does that part, and gets out of the way for everything else.
Traditional ATSes were great at tracking applicants but never solved reading them. Keyword matching rejects candidates who didn't write the right phrase and approves ones who did. That's not screening, it's a typo filter.
We started ATS Pal because the recruiters we worked with were stuck doing manual screening anyway, just to second-guess their own ATS. We asked the obvious question: what if the screening layer actually understood the job the way a senior recruiter does, and put the reasoning on the table for everyone to see?
That's the product. Not a replacement for your team or your ATS. A complement that takes one specific painful hour out of your week.
I spent a Sunday afternoon reading 100 resumes for a role I was helping a friend hire for. By resume 40, my standards had drifted. By resume 80, I was rejecting candidates I'd have shortlisted at resume 5.
That's when it clicked: it's not that recruiters are lazy. Humans just aren't built to score 100 things consistently in a row. We built ATSPAL to be the thing that can be consistent, and gave recruiters back the hours they were spending second-guessing themselves.

The shortlist is a starting point. Final decisions, who to interview, who to hire, who to pay, stay with people. We're a power tool for your team, not a replacement for them.
Resumes are isolated per organization, never shared with third parties, never used for any kind of model training, and deleted on request. We put it on the Security page in plain English and we'll put it in your DPA.
