The resume and the LinkedIn profile, compared before you send the candidate on.
For the candidates you choose, ATS Pal reads the public profile next to the resume and lists what differs, as points to ask about.

Flagged2 points to double-check
In short
The LinkedIn profile check compares a resume with the public LinkedIn profile it links to. You choose the candidates. For each one ATS Pal lists the dates, employers and titles that differ, adds what only the profile says, and gives a score based on both. A difference is a point to ask the candidate about, not a verdict.
From a ranked list to a checked shortlist.
The check is a second step on an analysis you have already run.
-
You choose the candidates
In the results of an analysis, select the candidates you are about to send on and start the check. Candidates without a usable LinkedIn link are skipped.
- You see the cost before it starts
- Usually run on the shortlist, not the whole list
-
The profile is compared with the resume
ATS Pal reads the public profile and compares employers, titles and dates with the resume. What only the profile says is added and marked.
- Only public profile information
- Nobody is contacted
-
You read the differences
Each candidate gets a LinkedIn Score based on both sources, and a flag when the two disagree on something that matters. You can filter the list to flagged candidates.
- Each difference is a point to ask about
- The resume score stays visible
One candidate, resume against profile.
The second candidate of the sample list, checked before a submittal.
Points to double-check
- The resume says Payroll Lead, the profile says Payroll Administrator. Which title did he hold, and did it change?
- The current role starts in 2021 on the resume and in 2022 on the profile.
- Each line is read as Same, Differs, or Only on the profile. Nothing is called false.
- What differs on a title or a date becomes a point to double-check, worded so you can ask the candidate.
- The LinkedIn Score is based on both sources. Here the certification on the profile counts for him and the two differences count against, so it is 81 where the resume alone gave 87.
A sample with invented names and numbers.
A client reads the profile too.
When a resume and a public profile tell two stories, the person who notices first should be you.
Before the submittal, not after
A hiring manager who opens the profile and sees another title or other dates asks you about it. With the check you have already asked the candidate.
Most differences are ordinary
A profile that was not updated, a title an employer renamed, a month rounded to a year. That is why a difference is listed as a point to ask about and nothing more.
Sometimes the profile helps the candidate
A certification or a project that is only on the profile is added to the reading, marked as coming from the profile.
What it does, and where it stops.
It does
- Compares employers, titles and dates between the resume and the public profile.
- Lists each difference as a point to double-check.
- Adds what only the profile says, marked as coming from the profile.
- Flags a candidate when the two disagree on something that matters.
It does not
- Say which of the two is right, or why they differ.
- Find a profile when the resume has no LinkedIn link.
- Read anything behind a login, or contact anyone.
- Reject a candidate. A person on your team decides.
Included in every plan, from the same capacity.
A role has one capacity for resumes and profile checks together. A resume uses 1 of it and a profile check uses 2.
- Launch
- Capacity of 200 per role. For example 180 resumes and 10 profile checks.
- Scale
- Capacity of 500 per role. For example 440 resumes and 30 profile checks.
- Enterprise
- Custom capacity.

Questions people ask
Does the check run on every candidate?
No. You select the candidates in the results of an analysis and start the check for them. Before it starts you see how much of the role's capacity it will use.
What if the resume has no LinkedIn link?
Then there is nothing to compare, and the candidate is skipped. ATS Pal does not search for a profile by name.
What if the link points to someone else?
When the profile appears to belong to a different person, the result says so and asks you to review it before relying on it.
What does ATS Pal read from LinkedIn?
Only what the profile shows publicly. Nothing behind a login is read, and nobody is contacted. A person can ask for removal through the contact page.
Why can the LinkedIn Score differ from the resume score?
It is based on the resume and the profile together. What the profile adds can raise it, and a difference on something that matters can lower it. Both scores stay visible.
Does a flag reject the candidate?
No. A flag means there is a point to double-check. A person on your team asks the candidate and decides.
